UPDATE: Information suggests this is nothing more than a rumor.
UPDATE 2: As expected, nothing S.H.I.E.L.D. at SXSW.. other than this little snippet from Joss Whedon.
Before we open up for questions, I have to ask you about S.H.I.E.L.D. You’ve shot the pilot. How do you feel about it?
Joss: It sucks. There’s something wrong with it. I dunno.
No really it’s great, I love it, but I can’t talk about it.
Is there something you can tell us that we don’t know?
Joss: Not really. I’m excited about it, I love Marvel Comics. The idea was exciting because I’m very interested in the people underfoot who didn’t win the lottery and aren’t superheroes Agents having to deal with the fallout was really cool for me and I loved being able to explore that.
“I’ll tell you guys this, Heimlich,” Whedon joked, before effectively clamming up about the show. “I can’t talk about it,” he admitted, but said that he did bring Coulson back from the dead for the ABC drama. “Yes. For realsies.”
According to TheCinemaniac the first 10 minutes of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be shown at the Much Ado About Nothing screening at the SXSW music and film festival today.
The Much Ado screening at SXSW will be at 1pm at the Vimeo Theater with a panel including Joss and cast members at 3pm.
NOTE: We have not been able to verify this information at this point but will update as soon as we know more!
