Thanks to a tipoff we discovered that all may not be as it seems during Beckett’s time with the FBI. It appears she may have been working for S.H.I.E.L.D.!
OK, so that’s not really true but there is a fun connection here. The FBI headquarters used during the beginning episodes of Castle season 6 is actually the same location that was used to film the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in the new ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that aired the day after the Castle season 6 opener.

During the scene in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agents Ward, Hill and Coulson exit one of two elevators and walk through large glass doors. In the scene in Castle’s first season 6 episode you see Agent Beckett and Agent McCord enter the FBI headquarters through two large glass doors, the same glass doors! You can see the two elevators in the back to their right and another door to their right just inside the glass doors.
