The Incredible Hulk Still In The Works

MTV talked to Mark Ruffalo at San Diego Comic Con about the status of the ABC proposed series The Incredible Hulk series originally announced by ABC late in 2010 and asked if it was still in the works…

“I have had a couple of minutes with Marvel since ‘Avengers,’ and they have the screenplay,” he said. “We’re waiting for a particular writer to do a rewrite on the pilot. That’s where we are right now. But we’re still on.”

With that being said, del Toro is clearly a big fan of [Joss] Whedon’s work on “The Avengers.” It’s always nice hearing others with more powerful voices than ours state their love for the “Buffy” and “Firefly” creator, so it was a pleasure to hear del Toro gush about Marvel’s ensemble superhero film.

“I think ‘Avengers’ is beautiful because you give a movie like that — that size, that scope — to a guy that has the tone and the pulse of those things dead on, and that’s beauty or curse, you know?” del Toro said.
