Marvel has officially announced that Saffron Burrows (Deep Blue Sea, Law & Order: Criminal Intent) will be playing the role of fan-favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Victoria Hand in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Even better, viewers won’t have to wait very long for her appearance as she’s scheduled to guest star alongside Max Hernandez’s Agent Sitwell in next week’s episode ‘The Hub’.
For those not familiar with the Marvel comic book universe, Victoria Hand was created by Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man, Powers) and is best known for her arcs in Dark Avengers and New Avengers. Hand has served as a double, even triple agent at times in the comics, though it’s too early to tell what angle Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will focus on with this new version of Victoria Hand.
