Zap2It spoke with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast members Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet during the TCA winter press tour party about their thoughts on the upcoming guest appearances of Bill Paxton, Stan Lee and Jaimie Alexander
“Bill is the best person ever. We’re a really tight-knit group of people, so it might be intimidating for other guest stars to come on,” Bennett gushes about Paxton. “Bill fits right in. He’s incredible. He’s so funny; I love him and I really like his character. … He is awesome. Everyone’s going to love his character.”
A recent teaser of “TRACKS” reveals Lee’s character, and it was previously revealed that he’ll have more than just a cameo in the episode. Though he usually just has a small part when he shows up in MCU movies, the Marvel legend will have a full-fledged character in “Agents of SHIELD.”
Henstridge got to work with him on set and describes the experience as being “very out of body.” “He was so lovely, very gentlemanly. So much energy! I mean, filming on a train is not an easy thing to do. It’s very rickety. He’s amazing. You meet him and you think he’s 45, and he isn’t. He’s such a legend; I still can’t quite believe it happened,” she says. “I hope he comes back.”
As for Alexander, this appearance comes after “Agents of SHIELD” had its big “Thor: The Dark World” crossover episode. The fact that she’ll be appearing shows that the series isn’t going to stop making it’s MCU connections just because one of the Marvel movies has come and gone theaters.
“It probably might feel even more like [a crossover] because of why [Lady Sif] comes to Earth,” Bennet says. “You’ll have to wait and see. I get nervous. [Marvel] probably put a bug on me.”
