In this episode we walk the red carpet with the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast and crew at Paleyfest in Los Angeles. We talk to cast members Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caesteker, Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet and showrunners Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. Unfortunately we had some serious technical issues (we ended up having to borrow different equipment at the last minute – thanks for coming to the rescue Benji!) and this resulted in the quality of the interviews being sadly lacking but we will try and make it up to you by getting the cast on our show again some time in the future.
We share some news and hear viewer feedback from fans about what they think of the way the show ties in with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
This episode we’re giving away a copy of TV Guide Magazine featuring Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on the cover and Ming-Na Wen has been kind enough to sign a copy for us!

The 2014 Paleyfest event played host to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. March 23rd at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. SHIELDtv.net were on the red carpet prior to the event to chat with the cast and crew about the show for our podcast. Due to a technical issue there has been a hold up with our audio but we hope to have it out soon so watch our Twitter account for news.
The event was attended by thousands of fans who were treated to an early screening of the upcoming episode of S.H.I.E.L.D. “End of the Beginning” which is due to air on ABC Tuesday April 1st. Following the screening fans were treated to a Q&A session with the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. themselves, cast members Clark Gregg, Ming Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge. Also taking part were Executive producers Jeph Loeb, Jeffrey Bell, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. The panel was moderated by Felicia Day.
You won’t get any spoilers for us about the upcoming episode except to say that it does indeed lead into Captain America: The Winter Solider. Read our recent spoiler-free review of the movie for more information.
Two of the most frequently asked questions at the event revolved around series renewal and Marvel tie-ins. The producers were quick to say that they are hopeful there will be a season 2 but nothing has been announced yet and that while they couldn’t give away anything about what Marvel characters may appear in the series or in what way the series might cross over with the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe, they are all part of the same universe so anything can happen saying that he is up for doing anything that makes the fans happy.
There was much teasing of Brett Dalton when it comes to his love interests on the show and Ming Na Wen shared joked that she’d love for Skye to turn out to be May’s love child with Thor. Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker both agreed that they have been playing their relationship on the show as one of brother and sister, much to the disappointment of the Fitzsimmons shippers on the room.

PaleyFest is coming up soon and we will be heading over to report all the news from the event.
For those not lucky enough to attend there’s a multitude of easy ways to keep up with all of the events. As with previous years, PaleyFest will live stream all of the panels including the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel on March 23rd at 1:50pm PT/4:50pm ET.
You’ll be able to watch the event through their website and through their free app, available for both iOS and Android devices. For those using the app, you’ll also be able to submit questions inside any of the event’s comments sections. One lucky question will then be answered during the panel. The entire cast is scheduled to appear and will be moderated by Felicia Day (Geek&Sundry, The Guild), so this is an event you won’t want to miss!

This year’s Paleyfest event held by the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles will included an evening of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The festival runs for 2 weeks during March and on Sunday 23 the cast and crew of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will take to the stage for a special evening.

Today the Paley Center for Media announced the lineup of the 2014 Paleyfest to be held in March and we are happy to say it includes Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!
The event runs from March 13-28 and is held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
Each eventing of the event will focus on a different television show including currently airing series and old favorites. The evening typically consists of a special screening (usually an advance episode) and a Q &A session with series cast and crew.
