At the end of the day, the workflow for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is fairly typical for prime-time TV, Field says, with that added twist of delivering color-corrected elements to promotions before the picture is locked. "It’s a slightly unique timeline," he said. "We’re trying to stay close to the cutting room in the sense of timing and delivery. We’re getting prelocked studio cuts so that we can have the same version over here, and quick decisions and quick deliveries can happen. We don’t have to wait for lock to do this or that online, and it’s because of our workflow implementation."
