Joss Whedon Mentions S.H.I.E.L.D. in MTV & ET Interviews

There’s nothing new in this one but it is always exciting to hear mention of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Whedon says they still haven’t heard “if it’s a go or not” but confidence is high. He also says it’s very much part of the Marvel universe but it’s a different version of it, a different aspect of it, it’s the little guy’s perspective.

Joss also spoke with ET.

He says the pilot went well and they’re “finishing the last weeks.” “It’s very much Marvel, that’s the stuff I grew up with”. He also says it was terrific reuniting with J August Richards and talks briefly about the frustration with keeping everything about the pilot secret.

We can expect ABC to announce a decision about S.H.I.E.L.D.’s future on May 14.
