Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Series - Topic: AoS-> What it Becomes. SUPER? /forums/season-2-discussion/aos-what-it-becomes-super Simple:Press Version 5.5.4 Agent Grey on AoS-> What it Becomes. SUPER? /forums/season-2-discussion/aos-what-it-becomes-super#p12741 Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Season 2 Discussion /forums/season-2-discussion/aos-what-it-becomes-super#p12741 I agree that I like the unique niche of our show as the one with regular people dealing with super stuff. I know when the show started, I think a lot of fans were expecting a more "superhero-y" show, and that maybe they are pushing it in that direction a little more as a result. I don't mind an increase in superpowered villains, and I do think it is interesting having Skye on the team as someone with powers. But I think the strength of AoS is looking at the human side of all of this, the relationships and the characters and the gritty reality behind what this could be like for normal people trying to cope with these changes in the world they thought they knew. I would HATE for that to get lost (or muddled) in favor of a million new plot threads or fantastic super vs super matchups.

So - I guess keep what's working, and if they add more superness, don't do it at the expense of what's working.

Which I think is pretty much what everyone else has said. :)

More gadgets *would* be cool. Gadgets are always cool.

Bobby Morse, Quake, Hawkeye, falcon, black widow, fury and the howling also, they have a serum to... In the ultimate universe teh avengers are shield agents in the beginning.

To me i like the way the show goes, adding a little more Sci Fi, more mysteries...

They've shown that they can write some really interesting, deep characters, both heroes and villains, powers or no powers. Besides, I very much doubt that the change will be so rapid. I do think that the level of "metahumanism" on the show will increase, but at a slow and gradual rate.

Personally, I'm ok for now. I really like the idea of a show about normal people dealing with super powered threats. And season 2 definitely upped the quality. So it really comes down for me is how they introduce the characters and who they pick to go in. Mockingbird may be a superhero but she's really just a highly trained agent, no superpowers. Same with Ward and Agent 33 if they go down that road with them. So as long as it stays light on the super powers I think it'll have the perfect balance.

Though if more bad guys showed up with powers i'd be ok. it's mostly the heroes i want to stay normal for the most part. If that makes sense

According to the comics, Mockingbird will be an Avenger but she is like Hawkeye and Black Widow. All of them are normal humans with exceptional fighting skills. Although nobody is sure what kinds of drugs they use on the 'Red Room' girls from which Black Widow was trained in.

Now with Skye, is her ability a superpower? Maybe. The only members of the current Avengers lineup only Thor, Cap, and Hulk have super powers. Stark is just a regular human wearing a iron suit without it he is a wimp that couldn't beat Pepper if she wanted to whip his cheating tail.

Who is going to be the team leader? Coulson should be as he is management and May is a good 2nd fiddle. Fitz and Simmons are scientist.

Agent Almost-Fan on AoS-> What it Becomes. SUPER? /forums/season-2-discussion/aos-what-it-becomes-super#p12235 Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Season 2 Discussion /forums/season-2-discussion/aos-what-it-becomes-super#p12235 I write this post to ask a question and share some thoughts. I'm no good at keeping spoilers away so be warned the following post may have a spoiler at anytime. Enjoy.

With 'Agents of Shield', we've always know it's been about the "Agents." It's not like "Arrow" or "The Flash" where they're clearly superhero TV shows with the cast having superpowers and the outfits. My question is...Do we want AoS to transform into a classic "superhero" show? We all know that "Inhumans" are about to be popping up on the show. We know Skye has become an early form of "Quake" and we know that Raina is about to become something wicked.

That being said...Bobbi is Mockingbird. (Sure her outfit looks okay but they could bump it up to the full glory like in the comics.) Rumor has it Ward will become Taskmaster. (Which I would actually love.) Their was early buzz about him becoming the Punisher but the makers of the show came out and said that it wasn't true...HOWEVER, what he will become is much cooler. (Not many things more cool than that.) Another rumor is that Agent 33 becomes Madame Masque. Which makes total sense. (For both of them) I could see 33/Ward having to do a job and both needing to put a mask on and BAM theirs your new villains! ( OR Anti-whatevers?)

So have them start to "dress up" and AoS starts to become a HERO show. The question I pose is...Do we want that? I like AoS as it stands and season 2 has been a real joy-ride. Not to mention, we have the Netflix deal coming to feed our hero show needs. (And DC's TV line-up) So...What do you think?
