Have you seen these shows? Because if you haven't then you should!

Avengers Assemble premieres June 7 alongside my other favourite cartoon Ultimate Spiderman! So if you haven't seen either shows before now i seriously recommend it! Both shows are hilarious and easily help me get my weekly dose of Marvel goodness XD

Hopefully a few more of you guys will agree Laugh

I saw EMH and liked it, not sure about AA yet - the first few episodes didn't really impress me.  I still reference the EMH theme song at times, I used to do this arm gesture at the "Avengers Assemble" line in the opening credits.

I use to watch the shows when I was younger.

The were pretty cool, Cartoon Network then made a whole new one in 2005.

I liked that one the best.

Avengers Assemble is meant to be the 3rd season of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. EMH is better than Avengers Assemble I'd say because the humour just doesn't get me in AA. EMH has to be the best for children and maybe adults

Avengers Assemble was going to be the third season but they decided to change it to make it more like the MCU. That's why Ant Man and Black Panther doesn't exist yet.

They don't exist? I never really noticed. Wow, I'm bad

I did actually watch some of the EMH and actually laughed. ALOT. I never realized that it was so funny until recently. There are bits that are a bit childish, but some jokes were really aimed at adults.

Has Avengers Assemble got better as the season progressed? I heard that Ant man appeared in a recent episode, and had a rivalry with Hawkeye

I watched most of Earth's Mightiest Heroes over the Easter weekend. It was a fun show. But is Hank Pym always that annoying?  I've seen some random episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man, and I mostly enjoyed those too.  The Coulson episodes are my favorite, of course.  I'll probably watch Avengers Assemble when it gets on Netflix, even if it's not as good as EMH.

For me, EMH is clearly the winner between the two. I really dig the designs and voice cast, and the arcs were really captivating. I also loved how dynamic the members of the team became in Season 2, as can be seen in the opening intro (the lineup shot changed depending on which members are active in the episode). Which makes me feel sad since I was hoping they would make a 3rd season, if only to wrap up some loose plots (Winter Soldier redemption? Surtr and his plan for Ragnarok?). Many characters haven't had their chance to show up, such as Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and all. Plus the way they forcefully ended season 2 didn't feel right.

My guess (and just a wild guess), EMH was cancelled because how it resonated so much to the MCU. Those who followed the show would immediately noticed many similarities of events happening in the MCU (for example: Loki took over Asgard's throne by masquerading as Odin, Tony Stark built the body for Ultron, Hank Pym gave his Ant-Man suit to Scott Lang while he himself became Yellowjacket). At the very least, the writer of the show Christopher Yost is still around, writing for Thor: Ragnarok, a plot that was hinted in the show... another coincidence? Wink

Not that Avengers Assemble is bad, probably just mediocre to okay. While some of the episodes were actually good, and the general animation is clearly above the quality of EMH, it's obvious the show is meant to milk the success of The Avengers (movie), as can be seen by the team members. Sadly, the story has so far been dull or uninteresting. While EMH adapted popular storyline (like Secret Invasion or Ultron Unlimited, among others), AA did their own thing which should've been good but ended up as uninspiring. I blame that to Man of Action, who's no longer in charge of the story in season 2, hopefully for the best. It's also clear that they are setting this show to be able to crossover with Ultimate Spider-Man.

As for Ultimate Spider-Man, the show significantly becomes more watchable each season. I'm currently watching the 3rd season (Web Warriors), though only episodes which has interesting synopsis. I can definitely say it's a wonderful improvement in the story department, though the animation does feel sloppier than the previous season.
