Marvel had updated their TV schedule today with concrete finale and premiere dates for both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Fall-Mid Season Finale will be on December 9th, 2014.
- Agent Carter will premiere in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s time slot (9pm, ABC) on January 6th, 2015.
- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return to its time slot on March 3rd, 2015 and will finish its second season sometime in mid May.
This means that possibly contrary to past interviews and news articles, S.H.I.E.L.D. might be split up evenly with 11 episodes now and 11 episodes starting back up in March. That puts the possible second season finale on May 12, 2015 if there are no breaks. If there are breaks of if there are 12 episodes in the back half, expect the season finale to be May 19, 2015 or later.
Of interesting note, no matter how the back half of the schedule breaks down, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will run past the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere of May 1st in most territories. Whether it will be by one or two episodes or more is unknown currently. Exciting time, eh?
