As you all Know, Ward betrayed his team and joined forces with garret but after watch the second from last episode of shield it has dawned to me, is he actually evil? or is he infact a victim? I think he could be a victim based on how garret  treated him in his younger days by breaking him down and making him totally Dependant on him which also leads me to believe that without garret ward struggles to think for himself, so what do you guys think?

Ward had a lot of chances to ask for help. Even in the two last episodes, he could chose to help the team at any given moment. The tricky thing with evil people is that most of the time they don't see evil themselves. At top they "do what is needed to do" or find a excuse to blame someone else for their behaviour, i.e "I had a difficult childhood", "no one understands me", "my dog made me do it"...

Ward is not a teen, is a grown man, and Garrett told him specifically to not get fond of anyone, even him. Why then is Ward so adamant to care about Garrett? I don't think any time in jail could be worse that the operations training at SHIELD academy to being an specialist. Where does all that commitment come from? I think that real believers can go through it by sheer faith in SHIELD ideals. But Ward is not a true believer either.

Personaly i think people is evil by nature and only act right whenever they fear a punishment or to feel good to themselves. It's sad, but it is true.

"Time to grow up, kid -- time to stop playin' pretty girl and face some hard facts. There are questions you will not get answers to. There are things going on that you do not get to know about. And rest assured, I will never slip up in case you feel like bein' coy." -Colonel Nicholas J. Fury.

Brett Dalton, you ROCK.
Portraying it all so effectively, so completely building the viewer's empathy and trust while having so little of your character's past you could share, so utterly stunning everyone with your character's turn around, knowing it would limit your character's stay on the show, yet throwing your full efforts into it.
You were WONDERFULLY believable. My respects as an amateur actor (I mean REALLY amateur, a long time ago) and as a viewer.
Thank you for giving us so much enjoyment for so many episodes. Somebody better pick you up for a show. Better, find a way to reform ward and bring back a great source of friction to the group.

Bravo.

Ward himself specified he wasn't a true believer in Hydra, he was just there because he feels he owes Agent Garrett for saving him

I'd say Ward walks the line between good and bad (like so many people do in the marvel comics) but leans more onto the good side. We all know Black Widow has a bad past on the wrong side but LOOK, she's an avengers now! So, even if Ward is counted as a bad guy...I'm sure he can redeem himself. He adds a fun element to the show and him taking off with agent 33 left many question marks in the air...I can't wait to find out more!

He can redeem himself but not to skye as he betrayed them mostly.
