Leviathan being a Soviet HYDRA-type organisation in the comics allows for the inclusion of the winter soldier.. I hope they are not revealed as an offshoot of Hydra, since the world is supposed to not know about HYDRA surviving till the events of captain america 2

They are linked to the Zodiac as well, which was mentioned in the One-Shot. I think they are going that route, especially since the writers for the Captain America movies are deeply involved with this show.

I hope that's the way they go with it, I half expected the Zodiac to be the big bad of the season.

We know from CA:WS that Peggy and Stark founded SHIELD, so it's likely that the name came from one of them. We also know from the end of the Agent Carter (One-Shot) that Stark calls on Peggy ("Tell her she will be running S.H.I.E.L.D. with me."). So by then they have the name. We know Stark has a secret this season. What if he's planning on setting up some sort of organization. He comes to Peggy with his idea. She even gives him a name idea (from her feelings for Rogers, and her love of what he and his shield stand for). But he offends her something, so she doesn't decide to join him at this point. The rest of the season plays out. In the last episode something happens to Dooley, he's replaced by Agent Flynn (Bradley Whitford). The events of the One-Shot play out.

Thanks for pointing that one out! Yeah, it makes sense if Peggy and Howard tries to use the name Shield, due to their connection to Cap. I was thinking the same thing, about Agent Flynn. I wonder what will happen to Dooley (name immediately reminded me to Selfie's Eliza Dooley? Pffftt...), Sousa and Thompson since all of them are absent in the one shot. I hope it's not a reckon type thingy.

Speaking of Sousa, would be awesome if they reckon the officer from The Avengers as his (and Peggy?) son /wp-content/sp-resources/forum-smileys/sf-wink.gif

I'm sure Carter gets reassigned before the one-shot, since the entire office seemed to be different. and while Sousa and Peggy seem to be flirty at times, I'd assume the cop in avengers would be their grandson given the time gap.

According to Peggy, he husband was one of the men that Steve broke out of the HYDRA prison. Didn't Sousa or one of the others comment that he was injured in the Pacific. If that is the case then he would be a former Marine and very few Marines served in Europe.

Should the series end with the Steve and Peggy reunion from The Winter Soldier?

That could work. But... if Marvel is indeed going forward with follow up seasons, then they'll probably keep that for later

Of course, have the final season take place in the 1980's as Peggy is nearing retirement. Then end it with the scene from The Winter Soldier. Perhaps in future seasons we see more of the Howling Commandos as support players. In the Avengers deleted scene where Steve was looking at files of the Howling Commandos and of Peggy, it was mentioned that Falsworth and Morita were deceased by 2012, sometime after the War while Duggan, Jones and Dernier's statuses were unknown by 2012, but all three are likely to be deceased, with Jones out of those three possibly still alive in present day (who would be if his date of birth is correct:

http://marvelcinematicuniverse.....Gabe_Jones

96 years old in the present day).

You could also put John Slattery back in as Howard Stark in the 1980's.

My MCU Rankings: 1. The Avengers- 9/10, 2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier- 9/10, 3. Guardians of the Galaxy- 9/10 , 4. Iron Man- 8.5/10, 5. Captain America: The First Avenger- 8/10, 6. Thor- 8/10, 7. Iron Man 2- 7.5/10, 8. Thor: The Dark World- 7/10, 9. Iron Man 3- 7/10, 10. The Incredible Hulk- 6/10

Will we ever see Mrs. Jarvis?

At this point, no... but I would never say never!

There has been talk that Gabe Jones was the grandfather of AoS' Agent Triplett. He picked up a suitcase of Commando tech from his grandmother, giving the impressing that his grandfather was dead.

People need to remember that in the era, a marriage between a person of color and a white person wasn't something that happen even if the two people had feelings for each other.

Also he impersonated a General Jones in the early part of this season

Here is a long interview with the showrunner on io9
Looking forward to the following:

The two nicest characters on this show are Sousa and Angie. How evil are they really?
How evil are they in real life?

We're already wildly speculating over at io9! We like Angie too much. She's gotta be bad.
I don't want to give anything away but I will say there will be characters in the show that are not what they seem.

Is Leviathan a one-season villain, or are they going to keep coming back and growing more powerful?
They handle the immediate problem… but something is still out there.

Golden Age Marvel is full of insane characters. There's the original Human Torch. There's the Sub-Mariner. Could we see a version of a 1940s Marvel character besides Cap and the Howling Commandoes show up?
We will see other Marvel characters that exist in that world. And that's all I'm going to say.

Can you give the link to the source? It's kinda weird to read...

Anyway, I do have a weird hunch that

Angie might be more than what she seems... perhaps Madame Masque? Madame Hydra? or that could just be me overanalyzing as always LOL

My wife mentioned that while we were watching, that basically she

was too intense about making Peggy her neighbor. It would be a nice twist imo, at the very least something important has to come from her having to move

Michele Fazekas spoke to EW about Peggy's future husband:

“There’s fun in trying to figure out: Who is the guy she married?” executive producer Michele Fazekas tells EW.
“We know from Winter Soldier that by the time that she’s in a nursing home, Peggy’s had a family, she’s been married, she’s had kids, and we don’t know if we’ve met that person yet,” Atwell adds. “But it could very well be one of the people that she works with.”

There's more at the source if you'd like to read it.

I have to agree with the author though, I feel like Sousa may be too obvious of a choice. What can I say, Marvel has made me paranoid.

Hmmm. Thompson then? If not Sousa, at the very least they should link his similarity to the police officer in The Avengers sometime later /wp-content/sp-resources/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif

I don't think that she is working with her future husband at the moment. She probably doesn't meet him until after SHIELD has been born.

Short interview with Jeff Loeb and Tara Butters

Firstly, Butters states that the finale would leave the Marvel universe "atwitter"

Secondly, whoever wrote the article appears to have spoiled one of the characters in the description, or maybe it is a typo
