Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Dec 10 Ratings Update

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. came in a confident second in the hour again this week ahead of The Biggest Loser. NCIS was back in the game with a new episode to steal back some of its loyal audience of 11 years that switched over to S.H.I.E.L.D. two weeks earlier.

As is expected after a week off (last week was a repeat) the ratings dropped but this was also the case for NCIS who were also coming back from a break. S.H.I.E.L.D.’s numbers will likely tick up a notch when the final numbers are released later today.

S.H.I.E.L.D. continues to make significant gains in the +7 DVR numbers in both demographic and total viewers and is still performing exceptionally well amongst the highly desired young male demographics.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has a full season order of 22 episodes. This week’s episode is the final of the year with the season picking up again on January 7th and continuing through until May.

Here are the numbers for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the season including the +7 DVR figures where available (note, these numbers do not include repeat airings or online viewing.)

Personally I think that with NCIS as a competitor, the ratings are strong! if Marvel can’t defeat an audience of 11 years, nothing can :)

  1. […] ShieldTV.Net had a rundown of last night’s preliminary ratings and how it stacked up with the previous nine episodes. You can click the snazzy chart below if you need to see it bigger. As you can see, last night’s episode only pulled in 5.93 million people. The show hit lows all across the board. The second season picks up early this coming January and it looks like the crew will have to do some quick tweaking and adjusting if they hope to correct course. There has already been a full season order, so now everyone seems to be working toward a season 2 renewal. Hopefully the second half of the season turns things around ratings wise. The stories and characters have really picked up and become a lot more impressive the last handful of episodes, so maybe the break will give everyone a chance to catch their breath and hit the ground running with the final 12 episodes. What do you think about S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s near continuous ratings drop? Are you still standing beside Coulson and company? […]
